CONSTRUCTIVE REST

In an evolving noise-scape the sound and media artist Pedro Ferreira makes audible the frequencies of technological devices: smartphones, laptops, power banks, USB-hubs etc. Those assisting devices have become part of our daily lives and often share a physically close, almost intimate relation with their users. Exploring togetherness and the alienation in these human/non-human interactions, the dance confronts the audience with the immediacy of the messy, moving and vital body. (Judith Förster)

AFTER ALL THESE YEARS

The mapped projection consist of porn clips selectively picked from the seventies soft core porn era, sexualized commercial such as the Fanta girls, found footage, sex scenes from films, and personal footage of the sexualized body. Tharp mimicks movement in the film, spontaneously taking the movement and de-sexualizing it within her own body’s movement, semi-nude. (Ainsley Elizabeth Tharp)

(DES)CONEXÃO

(DES)CONEXÃO is a cyberliteracy art installation created by the collective Wreading Digits for the residency INVITRO-GERADOR. The work researches the mediation between the immediate, experiencing reality, the I and the other.

THE TIME IT TAKES TO MELT (MY HEART)

We see the tourist exposed to a picturesque lake at the bottom of an epic glacier: The salty water and the temperature decomposes the ice so pieces of different sizes and shapes drown, melt and break apart. An audio/visceral research on potential and real impacts of global climate changes on our psychosomatic systems. (Judith Förster)
